Ewa Podleś

Ewa Podleś is a Polish operatic contralto, born in Warsaw in 1952, who began her professional career in the 1970s and is primarily associated with opera and classical repertoire. Her repertoire spans Baroque, bel canto and 19th-century roles, characterised by a wide vocal range and dark timbre, and she has specialised in dramatic contralto parts performed throughout European opera houses.
