Rudolf Mauersberger was a German choral conductor and composer who served as cantor of the Dresdner Kreuzchor from the late 1920s, working primarily in sacred and choral repertoire. His compositions, motets and arrangements were characterised by a foundation in Protestant liturgical tradition combined with elements of early music and 20th-century harmonic language, and he was involved in the musical life and rebuilding of Dresden before and after the Second World War.
