In the Country

In the Country are a Norwegian jazz trio formed in Oslo in 2003, performing a blend of modern jazz and chamber jazz with ambient and post-rock influences. They combine lyrical piano-led compositions and improvised interplay with atmospheric textures, evolving over several albums from intimate acoustic settings to more expansive, electronic-inflected arrangements and contributing to Norway's contemporary jazz scene.
