Tom Rainey Trio
The Tom Rainey Trio is an American jazz group centred on a drummer-led trio formed in New York out of the city's creative jazz scene and draws on contemporary, avant-garde and free-improvisation traditions. Their music emphasises collective improvisation, textural dynamics and open forms, evolving from post-bop and modern-jazz foundations into exploratory small-group dialogues situated within the experimental jazz context.
