LMFAO are an American electro hop and dance-pop duo formed in Los Angeles in 2006. They blended electronic dance music and hip hop with tongue-in-cheek, party-focused lyrics, a flamboyant stage persona and dance-oriented production, becoming associated with the late 2000s–early 2010s EDM and club culture before entering an indefinite hiatus in 2012.
