Ebe Stignani

Ebe Stignani (1903–1974) was an Italian operatic mezzo-soprano from Rome who made her professional debut in the 1920s and built a career centred on principal opera houses in Italy and abroad. Her repertoire focused on the Italian repertory—particularly Verdian and verismo roles—and she was distinguished by a dark, resonant mezzo timbre and a dramatic technique that sustained an active stage career through the mid-20th century.
