Tim Smith

Tim Smith was an English singer-songwriter and musician who began his career in the late 1970s as the principal songwriter and leader of an experimental rock group formed in the Kingston upon Thames area, working in genres including progressive rock, punk and psychedelic pop. His work fused intricate, often abrupt song structures with theatrical arrangements and dense orchestral textures, and it has been associated with the development of a distinct strand of British underground and experimental music.
