Alonso Mudarra

Alonso Mudarra was a Spanish Renaissance composer and vihuelist from the Kingdom of Castile, active in the first half of the 16th century. He published a vihuela anthology that combined polyphonic vocal idioms with idiomatic plucked-instrument writing, featuring fantasias and arrangements of songs that reflect the tastes of Spanish courts and the broader Iberian Renaissance.
