Leonard Feather

Leonard Feather was a British-born jazz pianist, composer, producer and critic who began his career in the 1930s in London before relocating to the United States and becoming active in jazz journalism and record production. His work combined performance, production and extensive writing—including reviews, books and liner notes—and he documented and promoted developments across swing, bebop and post-war modern jazz.
