Moe Koffman Quintet
The Moe Koffman Quintet are a Canadian jazz group formed in Toronto in the 1950s, centred on a small-combo format and drawing on bebop and cool jazz traditions. Their repertoire blended bebop improvisation and cool-jazz lyricism with Latin, bossa nova and contemporary popular influences, and over time they incorporated varied arrangements that reflected shifts in the Canadian jazz scene.
