Nicky Hopkins

Nicky Hopkins (1944–1994) was an English pianist and keyboard session musician from Perivale, Middlesex, who began his professional career in the early 1960s within the British rock and pop scene. His melodic acoustic piano and inventive electric piano and organ parts became a recurring feature on rock, pop and psychedelic recordings throughout the 1960s and 1970s, contributing keyboard textures that influenced the role of session pianists in popular music.
