Lev Knipper

Лев Книппер was a Russian-born Soviet composer, born in Tbilisi in 1898, who began his musical career in the early 20th century and worked primarily in classical, choral and film music genres. Initially influenced by early modernist and avant-garde trends, his output later conformed to Soviet aesthetic policies and often incorporated folk material across symphonic, vocal and cinematic works.
