CBC Symphony Orchestra

The CBC Symphony Orchestra was a Canadian broadcast orchestra formed by the Canadian Broadcasting Corporation in the mid-20th century to perform orchestral repertoire for radio and television broadcasts. It specialised in classical repertoire, regularly performed standard and contemporary works for broadcast, and played a role in promoting Canadian compositions and composers through radio and television programmes.
