August Wenzinger

August Wenzinger was a Swiss cellist and viol player who began performing in the early 20th century and became associated with Baroque and early music repertoire. He specialised in historically informed performance, helping to revive the viola da gamba and Baroque technique through performances, teaching and scholarly editions that influenced early music practice in continental Europe.
