Alberto Zedda

Alberto Zedda was an Italian conductor and musicologist who began his career in the mid-20th century, working principally in opera and specialising in the bel canto repertoire. He combined performance, scholarly editions and teaching to promote historically informed approaches to works by Rossini and other bel canto composers, contributing to revivals and to the adoption of critical editions in modern performance practice.
