Mariana Nicolesco

Mariana Nicolesco was a Romanian operatic soprano who studied at the Bucharest conservatoire and began an international career in the 1970s, specialising in lyric and spinto repertoire. Her performances ranged from Mozart to verismo in both opera and recital settings, and she was active in promoting Romanian music and vocal education.
