Skitch Henderson

Skitch Henderson was an American conductor and pianist from Somerville, Massachusetts, whose professional career began in the 1940s and spanned orchestral, light-classical and popular music contexts. He bridged classical and popular traditions by leading orchestras for broadcasts and recordings and later founding a pops orchestra that helped bring orchestral repertoire to broader audiences.
