Goffredo Petrassi

Goffredo Petrassi was an Italian composer born in 1904 whose career began in the 1920s and centred on modern classical music. Initially influenced by neoclassical tendencies, his output evolved through expressionist and serial techniques across orchestral, chamber and choral works, and he contributed to postwar Italian musical life as a teacher and institutional figure.
