Stephan Mathieu

Stephan Mathieu is a German composer, sound artist and mastering engineer who began releasing work in the 1990s, operating primarily within ambient, electroacoustic and experimental electronic music. His work is characterised by the use of analogue tape processes, granular synthesis, field recordings and sparse minimal textures, evolving between composition, sound installation and archival-oriented projects within contemporary experimental music contexts.
