François‐Bernard Mâche

François-Bernard Mâche is a French composer who began his career in the 1960s and is associated with contemporary classical and electroacoustic music, including techniques related to musique concrète. His output blends studio-based electronic methods with acoustic writing and an interest in natural sound sources and ethnomusicological material, and over time he moved from early electroacoustic experiments into chamber and orchestral works that explore timbre, acoustic ecology and mythic or folkloric themes.
