Sir John Goss
Sir John Goss was an English organist and composer from London who began his career in the early 19th century as a church musician and teacher, working chiefly in sacred choral and organ music. He wrote hymn tunes, anthems and service settings in the Anglican tradition, and his melodies and pedagogical work contributed to the repertoire and practices of Victorian church music in Britain.
