Franco Fabbri

Franco Fabbri is an Italian musician and musicologist who began his career in the late 1960s and 1970s as a guitarist and singer in the progressive/folk-rock scene before moving into academia. He combined performance with scholarly work in musicology and the semiotics of popular music, publishing texts and contributing to the development of university curricula and research in popular music studies in Italy and internationally.
