Bennie Green

Bennie Green was an American jazz trombonist from Chicago who began his career in the 1940s and became prominent in the post-war swing and bebop scenes. His playing combined blues-inflected phrasing and a relaxed sense of swing that bridged swing, bebop and early hard bop, and he recorded extensively as a leader and sideman in small-group settings through the 1950s and 1960s.
