Gottfried Michael Koenig

Gottfried Michael Koenig was a German-born composer from Magdeburg who began his career in the 1950s and worked primarily in electronic, algorithmic and serial composition and in computer music. He combined serialist approaches with tape and computer-based processes, developed algorithmic composition systems and contributed to the establishment of electronic-music institutions and sonology teaching, reflecting a shift from tape music to computer-assisted compositional techniques.
