Kent Kennan

Kent Kennan was an American composer and educator from Louisville, Kentucky, who began his career in the mid-20th century and wrote primarily in the classical tradition for chamber and orchestral forces. His music combined neoclassical forms with lyrical modernist harmonies, and he spent much of his career teaching at universities and authoring textbooks on counterpoint and orchestration that were adopted in American composition curricula.
