Vicente Asencio

Vicente Asencio was a Spanish composer from Valencia who began his career in the early 20th century and worked primarily in the classical tradition, including compositions for guitar and chamber ensembles. His music draws on Valencian folk melodies and Mediterranean rhythmic patterns, and over his career he produced a body of works for solo guitar, orchestra and stage that reflect regional influences within the 20th-century Spanish classical repertoire.
