Louis Aubert was a French composer and pianist born in Le Havre in 1877 who began his career in the early 20th century in Paris, composing operas, songs, piano pieces and incidental music. Drawing on late-Romantic and impressionist idioms, his work moved between art song, theatre and radio music and reflects an interest in French vocal and theatrical traditions through the mid-20th century.
