Ole Jacob Hansen

Ole Jacob Hansen was a Norwegian jazz drummer from Oslo who began his professional career in the late 1950s and worked extensively across the national jazz circuit. Specialising in hard bop and modern jazz, his style combined driving swing, nuanced brushwork and a strong sense of ensemble interaction, and he contributed to the development of post‑war Norwegian jazz through recordings and collaborations with both domestic and visiting international musicians.
