Andrea Rost

Andrea Rost is a Hungarian operatic soprano born in Budapest in 1962 who studied at the Franz Liszt Academy of Music and began her professional career with engagements at the Hungarian State Opera in the 1980s. Specialising in lyric and colouratura roles within the Mozart and 19th-century repertoire, she developed an international operatic and concert career centred on central European stylistic traditions.
