Danny Thompson

Danny Thompson is an English double bassist from Teignmouth, Devon, who began his professional career in the 1960s and has worked across jazz, folk and folk-jazz contexts. Through extensive session work and long-running collaborations, his upright-bass playing helped bridge jazz and British folk traditions and was a recurring presence in the folk-jazz movement and wider studio scene.
