Arte Quartett

Arte Quartett are a Swiss saxophone quartet formed in Bern in the mid-1990s, specialising in contemporary classical and improvised music. They combine contemporary repertoire, jazz-influenced improvisation and extended techniques, evolving through collaborations with composers and cross-genre projects to broaden the saxophone-quartet tradition within European new-music and improvised-music contexts.
