Anthony Coleman

Anthony Coleman is an American pianist and composer from New York City who began his career in the downtown experimental music scene in the 1980s, working across jazz, free improvisation and klezmer-influenced contemporary music. His work combines extended improvisation, composed arrangements and chamber textures, moving between solo performances, ensemble projects and collaborations while engaging with Jewish musical traditions and the avant-garde.
