Cardi B (born Belcalis Marlenis Almánzar on 11 October 1992) is an American rapper and songwriter who first gained public attention as a social media personality and cast member on the reality television series Love & Hip Hop: New York before pursuing a music career. Her music spans hip hop, trap and reggaeton influences and frequently addresses themes of sexuality, empowerment and her personal experiences.
