Trygve Madsen

Trygve Madsen is a Norwegian composer and pianist, born in 1940 in Tønsberg, who began his career in the mid-20th century and is associated with contemporary classical music. His output includes orchestral works, concertante pieces, chamber music and solo piano and organ compositions, characterised by a blend of traditional tonality with modern rhythmic and harmonic elements and by its engagement with Norway's contemporary classical scene.
