Sonny Terry

Sonny Terry was an American blues musician from Greensboro, Georgia, who began performing in the 1920s and became associated with country blues and folk-blues traditions. Characterised by his energetic harmonica playing, vocal whoops and rhythmic accompaniment, his style became a defining element of mid-20th-century folk and blues revivals and influenced successive generations of roots musicians.
