Bill Laswell

Bill Laswell is an American bass guitarist, record producer and label owner from Salem, Illinois, who has been active since the late 1970s across funk, dub, ambient and world music. His work is defined by cross-genre collaboration, drawing together musicians from disparate traditions including jazz, hip-hop, electronic and traditional African and Eastern styles.
