Lars Hollmer

Lars Hollmer was a Swedish accordionist and composer whose career began in the late 1960s, leading and performing with progressive rock and avant-garde ensembles that drew on Swedish folk traditions. His music blended Nordic folk melodies with complex rhythms, improvisation and unconventional instrumentation, intersecting with the Rock in Opposition movement and later encompassing international collaborations that incorporated elements of jazz, chamber music and electroacoustic experimentation.
