Cape Town Philharmonic Orchestra

The Cape Town Philharmonic Orchestra is a South African symphony orchestra based in Cape Town, with origins in earlier municipal orchestras that provided public orchestral music in the city and later reconstituted as a professional ensemble. Its repertoire spans classical and symphonic works alongside film and contemporary commissions, and the orchestra programmes collaborations, education initiatives and performances that engage South African composers and cultural contexts.
