James Moody and His Modernists

James Moody and His Modernists were an American jazz ensemble formed in the United States in the early 1950s, associated primarily with bebop and the modern jazz movement. Their recordings and live work fused bebop improvisation with elements of hard bop and swing, reflecting the post-war evolution of jazz and the shifting club and recording scenes in the US.
