Friedrich Wilhelm Rust

Friedrich Wilhelm Rust was a German composer and violinist active from the mid-18th century who worked in the classical tradition and produced keyboard, chamber and vocal music. His work combines late Baroque contrapuntal techniques with emerging Classical forms—notably in keyboard sonatas and choral pieces—and he was part of regional German musical circles involved in the transition between musical eras.
