Antonio Pasculli was an Italian oboist and composer from Palermo who was active from the mid-19th century into the early 20th century, working primarily within the Romantic classical tradition. He specialised in highly demanding showpieces and operatic transcriptions for solo oboe, drawing on bel canto and other 19th-century opera sources, and his music is characterised by florid ornamentation, extended technical passages and an emphasis on instrumental virtuosity within the Italian Romantic context.
