Robert Helps

Robert Helps was an American pianist and composer born in Savannah, Georgia, who began his career in the mid-20th century specialising in contemporary classical music. His work features intricate rhythmic designs and an often chromatic, occasionally atonal harmonic language across solo piano and chamber repertoire, and it played a role in the evolution of post-war American contemporary classical practice.
