Trevor Dunn is an American bassist and composer from Eureka, California, who began his career in the late 1980s and became associated with the experimental rock and avant-garde scenes. His work spans avant-garde jazz, experimental rock and heavy metal, moving between composed and improvised approaches as he has led small ensembles, collaborated with experimental bands such as Mr. Bungle, and explored extended techniques and genre‑blending in both recording and live contexts.
