Fetty Wap is an American rapper and singer from Paterson, New Jersey, who began his career in the mid-2010s and is associated with hip hop, trap and contemporary R&B. He is known for his melodic use of Auto-Tune and sing‑rap hooks that helped popularise a melodic trap substyle within mainstream hip hop, and his work continued to blend catchy melodies with club‑oriented production and pop and R&B influences.
