Warren Zevon

Warren Zevon was an American singer‑songwriter born in Chicago in 1947 who began his career in the late 1960s, working as a songwriter and session musician before establishing himself in the rock, folk‑rock and country‑influenced singer‑songwriter tradition. His music combined sardonic, narrative lyricism and dark humour with rock, folk and country elements, evolving from behind‑the‑scenes songwriting into solo records that engaged with satirical and often unsettling portraits of American life.
