Richard Wetz

Richard Wetz was a German composer born in Gleiwitz, Upper Silesia, in 1875 who established his career in the early 20th century composing in the late-Romantic classical tradition. His output, including symphonies, choral works and chamber pieces, is characterised by rich late-Romantic harmony, contrapuntal textures and an adherence to tonal and ecclesiastical influences rather than the modernist trends of his contemporaries.
