Chor der Bayreuther Festspiele is the resident choir of the Bayreuth Festival in Bayreuth, Germany, established to perform the works of Richard Wagner at the festival since its foundation in 1876 and specialising in operatic and choral repertoire. Specialising in Wagnerian choral writing, the choir performs the large-scale, dramatic textures required by Wagner's operas and has contributed to the festival's longstanding performance traditions and interpretations of his scores.
