Bill Wyman is an English bass guitarist who began his professional career in the early 1960s and is associated with British rock and rhythm and blues. His playing is characterised by steady, groove-oriented bass lines that provided the rhythmic foundation during his long tenure with the Rolling Stones, and his later career encompassed solo recordings and explorations of blues, pop and jazz-influenced styles alongside work in music history and preservation.
