Susan Alcorn
Susan Alcorn is an American pedal steel guitarist and composer who emerged in the late 20th century, working across jazz, country and experimental music. Her practice blends improvisation, extended techniques and composition to reposition the pedal steel within free-improvised and contemporary experimental contexts, engaging with jazz, minimalism and country-derived material while exploring timbral and textural possibilities.
