Jules Mouquet

Jules Mouquet was a French composer active from the late 19th century into the mid-20th century who worked in the classical tradition and established his career in France. His output, largely for chamber ensembles, solo instruments and orchestra, reflects late-Romantic and Impressionist influences with an emphasis on colouristic orchestration and evocative modal melodies that situate him within French musical life between the two eras.
